I have a Rails app where you sign in with your email address (not a username). For whatever reason, the Forgot Your Password action is not updating either the reset_password_token or the reset_password_sent_at timestamp, and that leads to a "Reset password token has expired, please request a new one" error when a user tries to reset.

At one point, this worked, as my DB record had stale data for those fields. I cleared those fields, tried the link again, and they're both still null.

I wouldn't think I'd have to override the passwords_controller, especially since this worked before something I changed along the way. Why aren't my reset fields updating now?

** EDIT ** I am allowing a user to login via either email or username, that might have something to do with it. Also, in my routes file, I've setup override controllers for some of the devise methods:
