I am building a spreadsheet application that shows a few fundamental statistics of a country (out of a list of countries for which I have gathered data), about 20 or so fields with their labels. In addition I need to display a report on the selected country that run about 700-1500 words. I'm trying to avoid VBA with this part of my application. So far pulling the field can be done very well with a vlookup combined with combo boxes. However when I apply the same method to these long reports, where each one of them are stored in an individual cell in a table else where, it's hard to get them display properly and it screws with the proportion of the rest of my sheet. So my challenge right now is
Find a good container for these boxes. I have considered using TextBox but resizing is an issue and autosizing is not supporting word wrapping, i.e an entire paragraph is displayed in one line.
This is the frustrating part. I'm trying to figure out a systematic way to print my result file. Resizing a page to be fit for print is a nightmare in Excel 2007. And this becomes even more frustrating with a shape object since I cant just select cells as the area of print.
Anyhow this is just a general issue. I've been working on this design issue for a few days now and would love to get this resolved as soon as possible. Thanks for your input.
