I am developing a ReSTful API using dropwizard and STS. This is for learning purpose so I am not creating a db, I am just storing the values in static data hashmap.

I POST to add a new book with JSON request "request.json" and then I store the values using my "BOOKRESOURCE.JAVA" and save into memory using "BOOKREPOSITORY". The response I get back is "response.json"

I get two publication dates since when I add @JsonProperty in my domain to match the request.json. Before that it was working fine.

Attached below is the code, I am clueless as in what to debug.

remove the getPublicationDate() method from your class, or add it to @JsonIgnoreProperties
