I am just messing around with trying to lock a custom range for a Google spreadsheet. It is a time sheet with different formulas but similar to this one:
What I am trying to do is set the permission for my employees to edit only the inside values. I want to make a new page for each week and keep a record of it but each time I make a copy it re-sets the protected cells.
At the moment I have 12 ranges that wrap their way around the content I want protected, so each time I make a new copy I have to go through each and set the permissions.
Just wondering if I can set a custom range for the whole thing so I would only have to do it once. I know this won't work, but for example something like:
