I finally got chromium embedded framework 3 compiling on linux. I had to make some changes to the Makefile, but it's working now.

Unfortunately, it's not linking, and I don't know why. Here's the link command and the error it gives:

This makes no sense to me, as gobject-2.0 is in the list of libraries to link against. It is also on the system (as indicated by the error).

Anyone have any ideas?

Answer: Debian 7 doesn't have the libpangox-1.0-dev package available. I backported the package from Debian Testing (Debian jessie) and it compiled just fine.
