I've been working really hard on a game, with the intent to compile it to an .exe like have been able to do in the past with my wxPython programs, but py2exe/pyinstllaer and pygame from what I have researched don't go very great together. To get my .exe to work, I have to paste all of the pygame dll/pyc files into the dist folder, and everything works! ..except for a text entry screen within my game, it use the module 'inputbox' which is perfect for my game, and works with the .pyw file.. but when I try to use it in the .exe I get an error that says:

Runtime Error! The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Often times it's related to an errant c++ runtime dll that you should not be bundling. Out of curiosity, are there any MSVCR or MSVCP DLLs in your archive file? –  g.d.d.c Oct 4 '13 at 21:02
