`bundle install` fails on EC2 instance

Question

I am trying to run bundle install after I cloned a repository from github to my EC2 instance, but I'm getting the following error:

Could someone please tell me why I'm getting this error and how I can fix this? Thanks

The problem was that the instance was running out of memory. Changing the instance type from t1.micro to m1.small fixed the problem. Downside is that the m1.small instance is chargeable, unlike t1.micro. The instance type can be changed as mentioned here. You may also want to check this

hey a better way to work around this without having to upgrade the instance and for everybody that want to keep using micro they should just add a swap to the instance. There is a very usefull guide here
