I try to find an algorithm to construct hexahedrons (e. g. a cuboid) with radiused edge for eight given vertices and a given radius.
The idea is to use a nurbs surface for each face. The current result is something like that:

One rounded face is constructed using a nurbs-algorithm and 6 x 6 control points:

Putting together these six rounded faces does not yield real smooth edges.
Has anybody an idea for - a correct placing the control points - a correct weighting of the control points - the correct degree of the nurbs basis functions ?
