# Dynamic programming help in solving SPOJ PARTION THE STICKS

i was trying to solve this spoj problem http://www.spoj.com/problems/IITKWPCD/ i am a beginner with not much experience in competetive programming. i tried soving this using memoization. here is my code

when i do not memoize the results i get correct answers for test cases but it exceeds time limit . when i memoize the results i get a wrong answer for eg for the test case

the answer should be 397819.553484 but i am getting different answer i strongly believe that the problem is in my memoization step but i am unable to find thanks to my inexperience. please help.
