Have 12 months of data that I am trying to present with PowerPivot as the trends over the year by sales person per month; product per month; product category per month, etc. The data are in three separate excel sheets in the same format.

I have linked all the sales people's names to a central list of names and the months to a central list of months but I cannot get a pivot table to populate all the months with the sales numbers per person.

I hope this makes sense. Any help is appreciated.

What version of Excel are you on? Can you download Power Query and use it? If so, appending or merging data sets is very easy. –  mmarie Oct 22 '13 at 17:20
