I am using an openCV example code and what I found is the following activity is not at all showing the menu , the menu visible in the lower end like this ! next to home button , I found almost everything is right but even the menu is not visible-

What is missed in the code that the Menu is not visible.

This example is taken from openCV faceDetection sample.

I got the solution , I removed android:targetSdkVersion="18" /> from androidmanifest.xml

kept only minversion as -

<uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="12" />

But not sure why it worked.

change

android:theme="@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen"

to

android:theme="@style/AppTheme"

then go to style

add

<style name="AppBaseTheme" parent="android:Theme.Light"></style>

<style name="AppTheme" parent="AppBaseTheme">
    <item name="android:windowBackground">@color/background_window</item>
    <item name="android:actionBarStyle">@style/ActionBarStyle</item> 
</style>

<style name="ActionBarStyle" parent="@android:style/Widget.Holo.Light.ActionBar.Solid.Inverse">
    <item name="android:icon">@drawable/ic_launcher_actionbar</item>
    <item name="android:background">@color/actionbarbackground</item>

i think it has something to do with onManagerConnected where setContentView may comes as some trouble –  ABC Nov 2 '13 at 14:37
