I have a client application for load testing, which is used as payload generator. The application is a client to WCF service hosted in IIS with secure wsHttpBinding. In addition, the WCF service hosted in IIS is a middle tier which is also a client to another asynchronous WCF service hosted in Windows services using netTcpBinding.

While load testing I couldn't go beyond 10-12 requests per second. I have the right throttling configuration as shown below.

Here is my configuration for the application that is client to the service hosted in IIS

The question was throughput issue. I was not able to increase request/sec more than 10 an average from the client. Solution for this issue [link]:(blogs.msdn.com/b/wenlong/archive/2009/02/08/…). @adkSerenity provided the link –  user2960624 Nov 6 '13 at 17:07

In order to improve the performance of a IIS hosted WCF service, you may need to adjust the application pool settings. The following code snippet shows an example configuration setting:

Thank you @adkSerenity. I will make those changes you suggested and I will let you know if it resolved my issue. FYI, when I moved the WCF service from IIS and hosted it in windows service. It has the same throughput problem when I use wsHttpBinding binding. BUT when I use nettcpBinding the throughput issue is resolved –  user2960624 Nov 6 '13 at 15:48

thank you again. The second link you posted in the comment section was helpful. Increasing <connectionManagement> from the client side has resolved my issue. I did it from the code using System.Net.ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit –  user2960624 Nov 6 '13 at 17:04
