First time posting. Been working through Hartl's RoR tutorial, and I'm stuck on an rspec test that is failing. I went over the code, and copy and pasted directly from the site instead of typing and I still can't find the error.

Thanks for the help!

The error from PostgreSQL is pretty clear:

No operator matches the given name and argument type(s). You might need to add explicit type casts.

and it is pointing at this JOIN condition:

"users"."id" = "relationships"."follower_id"

You've created the follower_id column in your relationships table as a :string rather than :integer and PostgreSQL won't do any implicit type conversions behind your back. Fix the definition of follower_id in your Relationship model (AKA your relationships table).

Thanks. That did the trick. Found your other post on how to do this in Rails instead of via PostgreSQL command line. Appreciate the help. –  Darryl Kraemer Nov 18 '13 at 3:09
