It produces this:

Empty values are caused because escaped XML is not an XML like post XSLT: How to transform partially escaped XML? says, so i couldn't read anything from my $comprobante variable.

But in that post, Dimitri says it can be used saxon:parse(). Well, I'm using Xalan processor, but i couldn't find something similar. I'm limited to use xalan and xslt 1.0.

Any help?

Something like this would extract the escaped content from inside the field and output it as plain text (that happens to be well-formed XML):

You would then have to feed the output of this back into another stylesheet to do the actual transformation you want.

Only by calling out to a Java extension function (along the lines of saxon:parse()) that parses the lexical XML into a tree. Why are you imposing so many constraints on the solution? Why are you still using XSLT 1.0? –  Michael Kay Nov 21 '13 at 20:00
    
I'm integrating a system (not programmed by me) which use java default engine xslt only, which is Xalan. It accept any xslt, but it need to be written in xslt 1.0. I would like to change the system, but i can't, so I need to implement two systems using xslt 1.0. –  jechaviz Nov 21 '13 at 20:22
    
My question is about if exists a saxon:parse() like in Xalan; i browsed in Xalan API (xml.apache.org/xalan-j/apidocs/index.html) and Xalan Library (xml.apache.org/xalan-j/extensionslib.html) but I'm pretty lost. –  jechaviz Nov 21 '13 at 20:26
    
Seeing this post stackoverflow.com/questions/14508513/…, I see it can't be done with XSLT 1.0 or XSLT 2.0, so the only hope is to use an extension of xalan –  jechaviz Nov 21 '13 at 20:39
