I’m preparing a merge from todays simplified workflow to a specific customized Jira Workflow.
We’re using both Scrum and Kanban boards in several different teams. And we’re using Story points.
Some details here https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA061/Configuring+Workflow But I have the feeling that I don't have the complete picture and that worries me. What do I have to prepare prior to change and what manual work will be needed afterwards?
I've started with the new Jira workflow, but I wonder what happens upon activation...
I understand that I'll have to specify how status should be moved, but what about "all shared fields will be copied, non-shared ones will be lost" that I found when searching. I don't know what I have to do to keep all fields in existing issues?
How will existing Scrum and Kanban boards be affected and ongoing sprints?
Will everything in Jira be updated when it comes to the converting of old statuses to new? Such as existing saved searches, Agile statuses placed in the columns in existing Simplified scrum and Kanban boards?
Should I do any specific Jira backup?
