I don't know much about synchronization of threads...I am capturing and decoding barcodes in a Java applet. It's working fine for one time but whenever I try to reload/refresh my Java applet in the browser, I guess previous things are not released, and thus I am getting the following exceptions:

How can I avoid the above exceptions when I am reloading the applet? How can I wait for few seconds before reloading my applet, to prevent IllegalMonitorStateException? Thanks.

I think the library that you're using for WebCam requires you to acquire/release some locks. Please see the example github.com/sarxos/webcam-capture/blob/master/… and see if you're missing some locks. –  Buchi Mar 26 at 18:21
