I wrote a code for some functions, in iteration and recursion, but I get problems with recursions when I test the methodes. I tried to solve them but I always get other Problems, just like StackOverflowError. Can someone tell me how to solve them?

Can you describe in English what the methods should do? Your methods names don't tell me anything and you code is much more complicated than I would expect which makes me think I am missing something. –  Peter Lawrey Dec 2 '13 at 19:33
    
For examples, is F4I the same as the sumOf(N * (N+1)) which is n*(n+1)*(n+2)/3 –  Peter Lawrey Dec 2 '13 at 19:39

I tested the Iterations and they work, but the Recursions dont –  user3054620 Dec 2 '13 at 19:49

The StackOverflowError means usually that your recursion does not end.
Add some terminating conditions. For example, if you calculate
factorial through a recursive function, then your terminating
condition is usually the case of N=0 or N=1.

Then just debug it, see through which method invocations you go, and see why your recursion doesn't end. –  peter.petrov Dec 2 '13 at 19:48
    
for the second recursion f2R I should get a large number that ends with ....984 but I get ....983 when I run the JUnit Test Case assertEquals(f2R(i), f2I(i));. In f3R I get a StackOverflowError in the JUnit Test Case assertEquals(f3R(i), check3[i]);. And in f4R I should get 10 but I get 8 i the JUnit Test Case assertEquals(f4R(i), check4[i]); –  user3054620 Dec 2 '13 at 20:07
