I have this combobox which is user to display data by ID and Name:

Can you help me to fix this issue?

This doesn't fix the underlying problem at all. It allows the user to put a String into a ComboBox of ListGroupsObj; you've basically broken the type safety of the ComboBox. –  James_D Dec 23 '13 at 9:04

The following code will compile: ListGroupsObj selectedItem = listGroups.getValue(); but if it is executed after the user has typed a value in it will generate a ClassCastException. You need a converter installed if the ComboBox is editable. –  James_D Dec 23 '13 at 9:11

The problem is that your ComboBox is editable. When you edit it (or just click on it), it tries to set the value to the value in the TextField that is used as the editor. That value is a String: but you have created your ComboBox to store values of your type ListGroupsObj.

You either need to turn off the ability to type a value in (i.e. don't call listGroups.setEditable(true)), or you need to provide a converter by listGroups.setConverter(...).
