I have browser js code that connects to Java @ServerEndpoint code (JSR-356). The connection is successfully opened (I checked this in debug mode both in Java and checked in Console in Chrome Developer tools). But when websocket.send() is called nothing happens neither on the client side nor on the server side even no errors. There is no outgoing traffic in Chrome Dev Tools Network tab, in debug mode in Chrome when websocket.send() is invoked nothing happens. bufferedAmount property in websocket remains 0 all the time even after send() is called. I tried changing the argument that is passed to send() to plain javascript string - no luck nothing happens either. When I refresh the tab in browser the connection closes and after that opens again (logs on server side indicate this). I'm allso using AngularJS on client side and my java web application is deployed to Glassfish 4.0 web server.

Any help on this issue would be great. Searched a lot but all in vain. Here are relevant code snippets.

Same happening with me. You can check that is the connection is getting opened or what socket.readyState is giving response. –  anuj arora Jun 23 at 10:23
