I have created a client server application in android to send the name,username,password entered in the android to the server. There are three edittext namely name1,username1 and password1. On the click event of the button, I have created a json object and I take the three values from the three edittext fields. And created a json object using the name, username and password entered in the edittext during the runtime of the android application. Then I have converted the json object to string for sending it to the server. The server I use here is localhost. For establishing connection to the server I have created a java class called CallSoap.java in my application. My application uses a JAR file named ksoap2-android-assembly-2.5.8-jar-with-dependencies.jar for establishing connection using ksoap2. The connection to the server was success and I was able to send the name, username and password to the server. In the server I have used C# for establishing connection. The convert.cs class file has two web methods JSON_Deserialize which accepts a string JsonData and second web method named JSON_Serialize which accepts an integer. The Client i.e, android sends the name,username and password as json string to the JSON_Deserialize web method, The JSON_Deserialize web method accepts the json string and saves it into the database and returns the id of the created entry in the database. The client that is android gets the id back from the server. The client then sends the id again to the server for returning the name,username and password from the server database. The client sends the id as integer to the server webmethod JSON_Serialize which returns the username, name and password from the database using the ID. This is then converted into JSON format in the server and this json string is sent back to the client. In the client upon receiving the json string, deserializes back into name, username and password. This is the working of my application.

Now the problem is that my application will work only on versions at gingerbread or below. When I run my application on Gingerbread devices, it works fine. But when I run on devices above versions 3.0, the application does not work at all. When I searched google I have found in one post that the KSOAP2 works only on gingerbread and below versions of 2.3. Is it possible for my application to work on above 3.0 versions of android?? For that purpose do I have to change any code in my application. One thing to be noted Is that I have given as

in my androidmanifest.xml file. I have heard that there is an http post connection and using http post connection we can send and receive data from the server. But I don't know how to correctly do it. I have tried several times but failed all times. The server is deployed in my machine and its working fine in the link "http://10.0.2.2:19221/tn/Convert.asmx". This is my url of the server. These are the webmethods which I need to connect from the android to the server. 1) "JSON_Deserialize" and 2) "JSON_Serialize". Can some one please explain to me the http post connection for establishing connection with the client and server.
