I'm trying to do Nehe's OpenGL lessons with SDL2.0, I'm on lesson 2 but I have a geometric problem.

With SDL 1.2 (like in the Nehe's example), I get a normal Square.
However, using this code the square wants to go to the edge of the window.

Did I forget something?

You moving your quad 1.5 units to right. It should be glTranslatef(0.0f, 0.0f, -6.0f);

UPDATE

Due to misunderstanding i was looking to solve wrong problem. Actual mistake is in line

ratio = width / height;

Width is of integer type, so result would be 1 (640/480 == 1). It should be

ratio = (float)width / height;

That's normal, the square is on the right part of the window. The commented triangle has the same problem with the edge. This works if I use SDL1.2 (the original code of Nehe). –  Lutin Mar 14 at 18:34
    
Then i haven't understood what your problem is. Do you mean you see your quad's height is larger that its width? –  keltar Mar 14 at 18:37
    
Yes, even if I resize my window, the side of the sqare is stuck on the edge of the window. With the old SDL I have a perfect square. –  Lutin Mar 14 at 18:43
