At the moment I am trying to understand Sockets in C# and I ran into a problem. I have tried to make an asynchronous tcp connection between my computer and another computer on a LAN network. I am using the client with my lan ip '192.168.0.5' and trying to connect to the server with lan ip '192.168.0.9'. It works fine if I run the server and client on my computer. I have disabled firewalls and port forwarded.

If I run the server and then the client, my server 'stops working'

I will get this debug error on my client:

A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied

What am I doing wrong?
