I tried to run TraversalExample.java and create the graph inside the class but I got the following errors

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at setupneo4j.TraversalExample.<init>(TraversalExample.java:23)
    at setupneo4j.TraversalExample.main(TraversalExample.java:33)

What is the problems here?
I tried to create graph from previous post on Neo4j.
But it seems it fails.

You never actually create the database, you just declare the field as a class attribute, pass it to the constructor and then set it to itself. When you call it it is null so you get a NullPointerException. I don't know where you got the code from, but you should probably start by changing

private static GraphDatabaseService db;

to

private GraphDatabaseService db;

then initialize the db in main before you pass it to the constructor, something like

final String DB_PATH = "path/to/your/db"
GraphDatabaseService db = new GraphDatabaseFactory().newEmbeddedDatabase(DB_PATH);

thanks. but right the db is named op. how can i call the function op.createTheGraph();op.knowsLikesTraverser(A); the second one give me error –  user3382017 Apr 17 at 14:51
