I have this structure:

struct casilla{
        int x,y;
    };

And these lines of code;

std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<casilla> > > iniciales;
iniciales.resize(7);

Wich give me this error in the g++ compiler:

iniciales.resize(7);

Edit: I modified my code and now it's like this:

    std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<casilla> > > iniciales(7);
    for(int i=0; i<iniciales.size();i++){

What should I do?

As @Jack is saying, i think it could be because I'm doind it outside any method. Should i make an specific method to set this global variable. Also I prefer to make a global variable rather than creating one each time I call a function.

PS.:Sorry for the "weird" variable names, I'm programming in Spanish. :P

Cut it down to a bare minimum that still exhibits the problem. In doing so you may find a fix anyway. –  Alan Stokes May 8 '14 at 21:48

My guess is that you are trying to execute some code outside of a method, eg:

#include <vector>

std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<casilla> > > iniciales;
iniciales.resize(7);

while it should be

#include <vector>

std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<casilla> > > iniciales;

void someMethod() {
  iniciales.resize(7);
}

or, even better:

std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<casilla> > > iniciales(7);

I'm trying to say that you can't invoke .resize() on a variable outside a method. All the code which is not done during declaration of the variable (and consequently initialization) must reside inside a method. Don't mix a declaration (which is valid at a global scope) which invoking a method. –  Jack May 8 '14 at 21:35

They can be used as synonyms and it depends on the programming language involved, in any case yes, all the code must reside inside a method or function. –  Jack May 8 '14 at 21:43
    
How should I declare a global variable with certain parameters?. Should I make specifically a method to call it a method to give it a certain values and call it? Also, all this could be a problem of my computer/SO, the user Jack S. compiled it on Visual Studio and says it works fine. –  Dr Zoidberg May 8 '14 at 21:45
