I am using a simple makefile for my build environment where this is my base makefile and it will in turn call the other makefiles.

here while linking i am getting a error like

ddump: warning Can't open file D:/DAS_Work_In_Progress/DAS_Folder_Structure/Autosar_build/Application/Mcu/Build/out/Test_MCU.elf: No such file or directory
ddump: warning

Here is my simple makefile:

Does it produce the elf file (D:/DAS_Work_In_Progress/DAS_Folder_Structure/Autosar_build/Application/Mcu/Bui‌​ld/out/Test_MCU.elf)? –  Beta May 26 '14 at 14:37
    
ya elf should be produced in that path... now it is only creating .map file in the above path but not elf –  user36809 May 27 '14 at 3:38
    
All right, then simplify. Verify that the $(OBJECT_FILES_BUILT) files and $(LINKER_FILE) are there, and if they are, try the dld.exe command on the command line (without Make) and tell us the result. –  Beta May 27 '14 at 6:10
    
ya my $(OBJECT_FILES_BUILT) will have all my CC_FILES_TO_BUILD which is there in rules and defs .mak file. and the linker file is there. i tried in cmd propt by giving dld.exe it is asking for option D-LD Linker Usage: dld [options] input-file... For more help use the -? or --help options. –  user36809 May 27 '14 at 10:09
    
There's the answer: your linking command is malfunctioning, it doesn't produce the elf file. Then the ddump command fails because it can't find the elf file. You must figure out what arguments/options to give to dld.exe so that it will produce the elf file correctly, then modify the command in the $(OUTPUT).elf rule accordingly. –  Beta May 27 '14 at 15:09
