I want to read total missed calls from notification and display in my application. I'm using onNotificationPosted method to get the notification after call status changes to CALL_STATE_IDLE.

As of API 18, you can use NotificationListenerService. – 323go May 30 '14 at 20:13
@323go, I'm using NotificationListnerService only..I've mentioned in my question that I'm using its onNotificationPosted method to get new notification... – Alina Jun 2 '14 at 5:22

Actually why do you wanna get the data from the notification bar itself, you can get the number and the person who called using a broadcast receiver and add it to a database and show it wherever u need in your application ..

Just for reference you could use this.Hope this helps..

I think it is not what I require...My application displays a list of broadcasting notification and if same package's notification is found, it replaces package's item in the list with new updated item...If I follow this approach, it does not display correct missed calls number at specific time... – Alina May 30 '14 at 11:34

You need to look at the CallLog class.

Thanks @MJ93...I had seen it...I know I can get unread missed calls from this way..but it would be better if I can get that from notification as my application reads content information from notification...If I don't find any other solution I will surely go for this solution... – Alina May 29 '14 at 14:10
