I need the code to export a gridview to excel in a windows forms application... Can anyone help with with that code?

This is a long answer but here it goes.

Try creating the class below...

your code is nice..its working for simple table values... but i am using hierarchy in my database.... so its shows some error... then how can solve this problem? –  Suryakavitha Mar 8 '10 at 13:46
    
The only error I found is Xml type 'List of xdt:untypedAtomic' does not support a conversion from Clr type 'Guid' to Clr type 'String'. It is because of his code do not check for GUID. So i modify a bit his code so you can also check my answer. –  Frank Myat Thu May 28 at 7:42

According to @Refracted Paladin's answer, The only error I found is

Xml type 'List of xdt:untypedAtomic' does not support a conversion from Clr type 'Guid' to Clr type 'String'. 

It is because of his code do not check for GUID. So i modify a bit his code so that you can also check my answer.
