I'm trying to get user location in the background. Everything works great on my phone (htc one m7), but from some reason it's not working on two devices I tested: Samsung galaxy s3 Sony Xperia Z1

btw: I added everything to the manifest as it should be.

LocationClient requires Google Play Services. Can you confirm the devices have it? –  Eran Goldin Jun 7 '14 at 16:25
    
Yes I checked it, but not all 4.4 devices have it? the devices i use are 4.4. –  Fashizel Jun 7 '14 at 16:45
    
They should all have it, yes. You did not mention the OS versions. It is possible to remove play services. –  Eran Goldin Jun 7 '14 at 16:52
    
I just checked the devices, they all have google play services and all up to date. –  Fashizel Jun 7 '14 at 16:54
    
Do other location based apps work OK? Also check play services aren't disabled (in Settings-->Apps-->All-->Google Play Services) –  Eran Goldin Jun 7 '14 at 16:57

how can i write above code for services my backgroundclass extends from service how can i report user that googleplay services is not available and can show above dialog which u mentioned –  Erum Oct 24 '14 at 5:51

I found the answer. It was the devices own definitions. The device was not enabling apps to use location .
