I have an Android application that sends and retreives data to/from an Arduino device.

The sending part works fine, but when I try to retrieve data it gives me the following error message

My first guess is that the error would be in the line 260 which says int bytesAvailable = mmInputStream.available();

Am I correct?

What is the problem? and how can I fix it?

Your mmInputStream object is null. You forgot to create the object before using it.
