I am using my subclassed UIButton on my UITableViewCell to show an image and do whatever action I need to when that button is tapped. The reason I subclassed the UIBUtton is because in the design, the button needs to be half a parallelogram (only one side is angled). I have figured out how to draw my UIButton but upon using it, I notice that when scrolling my UITableView or when a view controller that contains it upon appearing gets shaky or slow.

Can anybody help me improve my code? I have a feeling that there is a better/right way to execute this.

The code for my UIButton (THButton) looks like this:
