My project: I'm currently developing an application that converts various signals (e.g. input from a light sensor) to MIDI messages. I have used the JGraphX framework to build my GUI. The application allows the user to insert "modules", which can be connected together e.g. Sensor Input Module ---> Midi Converter Module ---> Midi Out Module. In this example, the Midi out module has a reference to a virtual Midi port, which allows Midi to be routed to a different application. I have created this virtual Midi port using Tobias Erichsen's virtualMIDI SDK and his virtualMIDI driver.

My Problem: JGraphX requires all objects assigned to visual graph objects (mxCells) to be serializable. So I added "implements Serializable" to the virtualMIDI class. The application runs for around 30 seconds, then crashes. The console reads "Too many errors, abort" multiple times, and "An unrecoverable stack flow has occurred." once at the end. An error log is also created which I have copied in below.
