I want to implement a search method in my application. I have a database, I want to search in that database using a quick search box. Please help me to achieve this task.

Three files are relevant, DataProvider, DataIndex, changes to the AndroidManifest. In my case the data objects I want to look for in my database are 'Locations' data objects, hence the name of my classes, but you can apply it for your logic without problem.

LocationProvider.java:

I tried working in these lines and also looked at the searchable dictionary. But I am not able to get the correct suggestion id from the suggestions that were shown. Can you let me know if you have an idea where I might be going wrong. stackoverflow.com/questions/4090228/…. thank you –  achie Nov 3 '10 at 20:12
