I am wondering if there is a Python script to import csv hierarchical data file to neo4j.py.

i made the below python script, but i need a better way to check if a node is already created before creating it.

You should be able to index the node after creation and then check via the index API if it already exist. I don't have the neo4j.py API at hand but it should expose this functionality.

principle approach (in Java) is:

graphDatabase.index().forNodes("index-name");
index.add(node, "key","value");

Node node=index.get("key","value").getSingle();
