I'm trying to use Qt on Mac, now I meet a problems, it's simple but I don't have idea how to overcome. I will really appreciate if anyone can help me solving this problem.

The problem is on Qt. In my program, I use QMainWindow with QMenubar. When I run the program, at first everything goes well, however, after I click some actions in the menu bar, all items in the menu were disabled.

For more specific, I found that the problem is due to the "Window Modality". If I choose "NonModal", this problem won't occurs, but if I choose "ApplicationModal" or "WindowModal", it shows up.

Unfortunately, for smme reason, I think I have to use "ApplicationModal". In my program, the main window is called by a QDialog, and I hope that the QDialog won't gain its focus before the main windows is closed. Besides setting the Modality, is there any way to do that??

Following is a part of the sample code, the structure is very simple: main calls dialog, and dialog calls MainWindow.

basically, I just use QtCreator to generate a subclass of QMainWindow, then implement some slots for each action.\n Since the code generated by QtCreator is large, I don't put my source code. Do you think reading the source code will be helpful? If so, I can put it here. By the way, it works fine on both windows and linux, the problem only occurs on MAc – Claire Huang Dec 1 '10 at 18:18
