Through XSLT I would like to generate an XML with an element like <AssemblyParentKey> which I get from the sample xml : Enclosures/Enlosure/CLAR:TLANumber ..

The problem here is I should increment the TLANumber by one each time the element name changes inside the child element Enclosures/Enclosure/*/*. That is, when the powersupply element changes to midplane element inside enclosure child, the TLANumber should be incremented by one whereas all the powersupply elements will have the same TLANumber. For eg, if powersupply's AssemblyParentKey is 100-563-109 , midplanes (nest element) should be 100-563-110 , and the next elemnt of midplane should have 100-563-111 like this ..

My sample output should be similar to :

So, /CLAR:Enclosures/CLAR:Enclosure/CLAR:TLANumber value should be used for the AssemblyParentKey elements generated for all /CLAR:Enclosures/CLAR:Enclosure/CLAR:PowerSupply elements, but the AssemblyParentKey value generated for for all /CLAR:Enclosures/CLAR:Enclosure/CLAR:MidPlane elements should be an incremented? –  Mads Hansen Dec 1 '10 at 13:13
