I believe the shift register should begin with 0x04C11DB7 rather than 0xffffffff. –  jt. Apr 30 at 16:04
    
I prefer 0xffffffff to have it compatible with other software. For example, for the situation, there are no data the result is 0 which is for example chechsum of zero lenght file in TotalCommander –  user2136076 May 6 at 9:27
    
Why do you need that table of CRC values? Just curious –  Kala J Jul 28 at 17:26
