I know that the problem have been treated in other post but after reading several articles and tutorial i don't understand...

I have the follogin rox.xml for each listview item

My ListViewAdapter has the following getView (with a ViewWrapper)

And I'm getting images throgh the following class.

Now the listview scrolls smoothly but at the beginning no image are loaded. Then if I scroll up and down repeatedly images appear and sometime disappear.

I think the problem is that i really dont understand how things works..

I had the same problem today. What is not explained in the documentation nor in the video posted by Pavandroid is that you need to set the state of certain properties and not rely upon the defaults of those states as they are set in the layout file.

For example, in my app, an image is displayed in a row depending on the state of the data for that row. In my layout file the default is that the image normally would be shown. When getView is called and an image is not to be shown, I make the image invisible with

If (hideImage)
  someImage.setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE);

It was logical to assume that if hideImage was false, then the image would be displayed but during scrolling it eventually disappears. Instead of relying upon the layout file default, I had to explicity set the visibility:

If (hideImage)
  someImage.setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE);
else
  someImage.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);

This corrected the problem.

Remember that Listitem views are recycled, which means a view object that was created for a previous row that is now offscreen can be reused for a new row that appears after scrolling. If this view had visbility set to INVISIBLE, it will remain so unless you explicitly set it to VISIBLE. –  AgileYogi Jan 27 '12 at 6:51
