I am interested to take an existing Outlook task and add some more attributes, methods, behaviors to it to make my own custom task item.

  1. Is it possible to extend an Outlook task?

  2. Can I use the default Outlook task view to display my custom tasks?

  3. Can I add additional columns to the default Outlook tasks view?

  4. How do I go about modifying Add/Update task forms to suite requirements of my custom task?

  5. What are the best practices while doing something similar?

  6. Could you please refer me to some good articles/tutorials?

I know these are lot of question. I am new to Outlook/Office development. I would really appreciate all of your efforts.
