I need pixel value from png file. so I searched SO and got two methods as follows:

Method 1

I logged output using:

printf("%x\n", (unsigned int)*(unsigned int*)rcdata);

Method 1 and Method 2 logs differ! Why? I am confused.

Do you have a high-resolution version of the image in your project? It would be named ball@2x.png. –  rob mayoff Feb 5 '13 at 4:07
    
Both these methods leak horrendously... cMap (which isn't even used) in Method 1 and bitmapData in Method 2. Both are malloc'd into local variables but never released. –  Charlie Scott-Skinner Jun 26 at 13:49
