I'm writing code to access the i2c driver(from kernel space) using the standard interface in "/linux/i2c.h"

I'm getting an error:(too few arguments) when I try to call the method as shown below. Attached is the code for the implementation of the method as defined in "i2c.c"

Which linux kernel? I can see a different signature in on kernel.org –  dubnde Apr 14 '11 at 13:02

You've got a name collision with one of the kernel functions in linux/i2c.h:

ah ok that was mismatching the i2c implementation and I didnt see it because it wasn't in the "visible" linux headers. Hopefully this will fix it. –  S E Apr 14 '11 at 13:11

I can see i2c_transfer signature is

int i2c_transfer (  struct i2c_adapter * adap,
    struct i2c_msg * msgs,
    int num);

on the linux kernel

well its probably a limitation of my IDE more than anything, i can see the file now but it wouldnt link it properly in my IDe so i had to browse for it manually –  S E Apr 14 '11 at 13:18
