i am getting error:

NumPy is in EPEL. –  Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams Apr 26 '11 at 21:39

It seems you don't have all the dependencies. The install page may help you.

I am not building this manually, but rather using rPATH's conary recipe. BTW i did resolve this, but thanks –  kamal Apr 26 '11 at 21:36

the command $rbuild build packages numpy --no-recurse , should be executed at the level where the package is, not in Development/QA or Release Directories.
