I am trying to implement multibinding in Silverlight using VB.Net. I have found a very good reference for an implementation in C# here. I spent some time trying to use various converters to migrate it into VB.Net but I still didn't get it working properly. So..

I'm looking for some references that exemplify how MultiBinding can be done in VB.Net.

Also an example using Silverlight 5 beta would be fine (I read in a post right here on Stack Overflow that it supports multibinding).

C# and Visual Basic are similar some how ... tell us what are your doubts in C# and we tell you the VB equivalent. – NestorArturo Jul 13 '11 at 18:30
    
The C# solution is working great. And I tried to convert the project to VB.Net, and even though they are very similar I personally found it very difficult to convert the project. That's why I am trying to ask the people here if they have any good references for a similar(or identical) project written in Vb.Net. Or alternatively some details on the support Silverlight 5 beta has for Multibinding – Ioan Paul Pirau Jul 13 '11 at 19:05

Have you tried converting each class to VB.NET using something like this? That's where I'd start, then if you run into specific issues you can post them here (and include a sample project ;-) – CodeNaked Jul 20 '11 at 10:29
    
Yes, I did use exactly that one and spent a few hours trying to make it work and it only crashes. As I am quite new to Silverlight and not a great VB.Net developer, I couldn't get it working so I turned to Stack Overflow for some references ( I did my share of searching before, of course :) ) – Ioan Paul Pirau Jul 20 '11 at 10:34

A zipfile with my project is here: dl.transfer.ro/… . I wanted to post it but didn't have the time. You've definitely earned the +1, accepted answer and +50 (which I can grant only 24 hours after the bounty started). But if you have 10 extra minutes could you please tell me why in My project (MultipleBindingTest) I get the problem of not recognizing the namespace unles I prefix them with Global (and then they get generated again...) ? – Ioan Paul Pirau Jul 20 '11 at 15:01
    
@John - Yeah, I ran into that also. The original code tries to define IMultiValueConverter in the same namespace as the WPF version (i.e. System.Windows.Data). The problem is in VB though, things like System.Globalization.CultureInfo would then resolve to be SLMultiBinding.System.Globalization.CultureInfo. So I moved IMultiValueConverter to a different namespace. – CodeNaked Jul 20 '11 at 17:02
