I'm trying to implement a modification of the Notepad Tutorial from the Android Developer's Guide, but my app stops unexpectedly on startup. Here's my code:

My main method called on startup...

I don't think the problem is with my AddItem class or its associated Layout and I'm really sick of formatting the code for this post. Can anyone help me see what's going wrong?

You have to rename FIELD_RECORD_ID in MyListDBAdapter to _id

The Cursor must include a column named "_id" or this class will not work.

Yes! This was the problem...thank you so much. It was a little frustrating at first, because I changed the variable in my code, but the application was still reading from an old data file on my AVD. Once I got all that cleared out it worked like a charm! –  Dan Forbes Jul 23 '11 at 18:46
