I want to copy a TTF file from SD card to /system/fonts and change its permissions.

Here is my code:

Root permissions granted & /system/fonts mounted R/W. However I still get the following exceptions:

I can execute these commands without a problem with adb shell so the paths should be OK.

Had spent many hours without a clue. Could somebody please help me out? Thanks a lot!

you cant access sdcard of device/emulator on command prompt, as adb is having all resource of android environment so it can access

Thanks for the hint. I then turned to java.io API however still cannot write to system/fonts, only to get java.io.FileNotFoundException: /system/fonts/DroidSans.ttf (Permission denied). It must be possible but now I am lost. Do you know how to achieve what I intend? Thanks again! –  Huan Aug 18 '11 at 7:57

Please see the following example on how to use exec. You should pass an array of strings instead of a single string.

Thanks Kevin! But I am able to use exec() to execute some commands. I just can't access files with those commands. –  Huan Aug 22 '11 at 12:41
