Given a quad's vertices

// [x,y](location) [x,y](uv)
this.primitive.pushVertex(new GL2.Primitive.Vertex([0,0],[0,0]));
this.primitive.pushVertex(new GL2.Primitive.Vertex([80,0],[1,0]));
this.primitive.pushVertex(new GL2.Primitive.Vertex([0,80],[0,1]));
this.primitive.pushVertex(new GL2.Primitive.Vertex([80,80],[1,1]));

I'm trying to use exported Flash animation skew parameters to skew the quad created above. This is the logic I"m using to perform the skew operation on the vertices

var vertexIdx;
for (vertexIdx = 0; vertexIdx < primitive.getVertexCount(); ++vertexIdx)
{
    var vertex = primitive.getVertex(vertexIdx);
    var uv = vertex.getUV();

    var vertPosX = motion.startData.verts[vertexIdx].getPosition().getX();
    var vertPosY = motion.startData.verts[vertexIdx].getPosition().getY();

     if (skewX !== 0)
     {
         var skewAngleX = skewX * Math.PI/360;
         vertPosX = vertPosX - (vertPosY * skewAngleX);
     }

     if (skewY !== 0)
     {
         var skewAngleY = skewY * Math.PI/360;
         vertPosY = vertPosY + (vertPosX * skewAngleY);
     }

     var skewedVertex = new GL2.Primitive.Vertex([vertPosX, vertPosY],[uv.getX(),uv.getY()]);
     primitive.setVertex(vertexIdx, skewedVertex);
 }    

My skew math was working for the most part until I start pushing the skewX and skewY parameters past 45 degrees. I'm afraid my skew math is wrong, anybody have any ideas?

I updated the code to preserve the skewAngleX and skewAngleY values. It doesn't solve the issue at hand, but it probably should have been done in the first place. – user897515 Sep 16 '11 at 15:22
