I'm trying to display a base 64 encoded image in my cell table. I've tried using the ImageCell but nothing is displayed.

Column<DTO, String> ownerImageColumn = new Column<DTO, String>(new ImageCell())
{
   @Override
   public String getValue(DTO object)
   {
      return object.getOwner().getPicture();
   }
};

Has anyone done something similar? The user can upload their own image so I need it to be dynamic and not use ImageResourceCell. I can see the image if I do:

Image image = new Image();
image.setUrl(dto.getOwner().getPicture());

Is this possible some other way?

That is not an easy one. You have to write your own Cell and Column class:

Thanks a lot for this. I've played around with my custom cell but didn't think of making my own column. I've modified the code to use my DTO but it seems I need to make my own column for every type of Cell Table where I use different DTO's unless it's possible to solve using generics. Not a big issue though. –  Jonas Oct 6 '11 at 7:58
