Ok, this behavior seems very strange. I have a ListBox which is bound to an IBindingList of strings. In a DataGridView next to it, i have added a combo box column that is bound to the same List, with this code in the DataBindingComplete event.

            gridPallets.Columns.Remove("Truck")

The ListBox Datasource is set to the same list object when the form loads.

            lstTrucks.DataSource = PackingList.Trucks

The strange part is that everytime i change the combo box selection in any row of the grid, the selected item in the list box changes to match. The reverse behavior doesn't occur. I haven't done anything in code to purposely facilitate that.

What could cause this? This doesn't make any sense to me.

Yes, it's PackingList.Trucks. Not a DataView, it's my own class that Inherits List(of T) and has the basic needed implementation of IBindingList, so i can use it with grids and stuff. In this case its just Of String. –  Kratz Oct 6 '11 at 11:59
    
I asked, because it is the linking pin between CBC and lstTrucks, so I expected some currency management in the bindinglist. –  Gert Arnold Oct 6 '11 at 12:16
    
Ok, I've updated my question with more information. The stack trace i had checked since by putting a break point in lstTrucks.SelectedValueChanged, and there is a CurrencyManager. I've also included the code for the IBindingList class i was using. Not sure where the currency manager is coming from. –  Kratz Oct 6 '11 at 12:56
    
Well, there you go. The CurrencyManager synchronizes both selections. I would bind the combobox CBC to a copy of the list. –  Gert Arnold Oct 6 '11 at 13:40
