I am trying to create a Flash application which will allow a user to draw arrows on the screen/canvas by using the mouse. So if they click and hold the left mouse button at coordinates 23,12 and release the left button at 84,45 a line would be drawn between the 2 points with an arrow head at the second coordinate.

I also need each individual arrow to be selectable so they can be moved or deleted (I know how to do this part!).

If someone could help me and point me in the right direction (such as an example or tutorial), it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi - thanks for the code! I am VERY new to Flash & AS3, but I have been given this project at work to do. I have this in my Flash Project and I can cerate the object like this (so I know it is accessible): var a:Arrows = new Arrows(); but I am not sure what to do next... I feel like a moron right now, but I am on a tight deadline. Sorry for being such a newbie! –  Nutkraker Oct 26 '11 at 21:38
    
I have added your code in a file called Arrows.as and I have added this line in my fla file (both files are in the same directory): var a:Arrows = new Arrows(); –  Nutkraker Oct 26 '11 at 21:42
