I want my app should show Action sheet on Local notification event occurrence and not the default alert View. Also wanted to know is there any way to generate any event even if my app is in Background.. like EKEventStore or something else. If yes then please help.

Here is what i am trying for above problem:-

It depends on do your application delegate is of that UIAlertViews or not. If so, you may try to handle willPresentAlertView: and that immediately call - (void)dismissWithClickedButtonIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex animated:(BOOL)animated without animation and create UIActionSheet and show it after call dismiss on UIAlertView. in dismissWithClickedButtonIndex method how can we provide button index without pressing any button? and will you please tell me where can i have this method will presentAlertView (for which delegate). any link or any code you have..?? –  mAc Nov 16 '11 at 12:25
    
I mentioned, what I'm not sire who is delegate for UIAlertView which appears on UILocalNotification. And just suggested in case if you know who is it (I think it can be your AppDelegate, try to add protocol and implement few methods and check). If you will be able to receive those calls, than you can test rest from my suggestion. How we do if we don't have index to pass into - (void)dismissWithClickedButtonIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex animated:(BOOL)animated? Thats correct, pass any value which you want. –  moonlight Nov 16 '11 at 12:55
    
OK i am trying..., but still i couldn't understand how passing any value will dismiss the alert view.As the alert view is coming from local notification, it has only two buttons.. "Close" and "View". so the only option is that to write code on buttonindex of "View". but How..?? :) –  mAc Nov 16 '11 at 13:15
