With the tutorial by IMRAN BHADEL I created iPhone that calls WCF webservice. It works perfect. Now I am trying to call https service, but in method

-(void)connection:(NSURLConnection)connection didReceiveResponse:(NSURLResponse *)response

I get Status code 404. method didReceiveData is not called. If I try browse to:

https://username:password@192.168.100.102/iphone/IphoneService.svc 

in iphones simulator's browser(safari), it shows message:

"The certificate for this website is invalid. Tap Accept to connect to this website anyway"

If I tap Accept it opens correctly.

Can someone help me?

You'll want to implement the authentication methods of the NSURLConnection delegate class. Those allow you to intercept and act on the authentication challenge. Thanks for that, but I didn't solve the problem. I realized that maybe problem is in url. For http I call username:password@192.168.100.102/iphone/IphoneService.svc/… ...In browser I open service with username:password@192.168.100.102/iphone/IphoneService.svc or username:password@192.168.100.102/iphone/IphoneService.svc. Should I be using some other word instead of "basic" at the end of URL –  dule Dec 8 '11 at 11:23
